Kronch Optimal is an excellent extruded complete dog food intended specifically for puppies and pregnant bitches.
Because we use fresh salmon in production, our product is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids as well as in many essential amino acids. This helps give your dog a beautiful shiny coat and an improved active life. Kronch Optimal consists of mostly salmon oil and hence share the same outstanding properties. Kronch Optimal meets the standards set out by the AAFCO norms. This ensures that your dogs needs for protein, carbohydrates, fat, and minerals are covered optimally. Salmon proteins are absorbed and digested very easily, which results in less food consumption and fewer excrements. Kronch Optimal contains only quality-controlled raw materials. Kronch Optimal does not contain: - artificial coloring, flavoring or soya protein

Kronch Optimal has been designed specifically for pregnant bitches. The bitches if fed according to appatite and a gradual feed transistion period of 10 to 14 days is recommended. Kronch Optimal is suitable for all young dogs and may be used as soon as they start showing interest for real food, which usually happens after around 5 weeks of age. Kronch Optimal has an extremely positive effect on the dogs fur and helps to prevent problems such as allergies, hair loss, itch, dull fur, scalp, and dry skin.

Why is salmon a very important fat and protein source for your dog?

Salmon as a source of fat

Fat is your dogs most important source of energy. It ensures that your dog receives the essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids which are necessary for maintaining your dog's body functions.

Omega-3 fatty acids are found in fish oils, especially in fat saltwater fish, including salmon. Compared with other fish, salmon has one of the highest concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids. The health enhancing effect of omega-3 fatty acids has been found to be connected with two fatty acids called EPA (eicosapentaenacid) and DHA (docosahexaenacid). These two fatty acids are only found in salmon oil and not anywhere else in nature. Salmon is also a natural source of omega-6 fatty acids.

When salmon is used as a fat source, the important omega-3 and -6 fatty acids found in salmon are transferred to the product. Our products high omega-6 fatty acid content not only helps strengthen your dog's skin and coat, but also neutralizes common problems such as allergies, dry skin, hair loss, itch, scalp, and dull fur. Salmon as a source of protein

When digested, the proteins are converted to amino acids. Amino acids are absorbed in the bloodstream and distributed throughout the body, where it is used for building, maintaining, and repairing skin, muscles, bones, and internal organs.

Dogs need many different amino acids and it is very important that the ones dogs don't make themselves are supplied in their food. There are ten essential amino acids that dogs are unable to make themselves. If even one of the ten essential amino acids are missing, the remaining nine will be respirated as energy and will not aid the body in building, maintaining, or repairing body tissue. As a result, muscle growth may come to a halt.

Salmon proteins contain many essential amino acids. When salmon is used as a source of protein, your dog receives the amino acids it needs. Salmon proteins have a very biological value, which indicates how many proteins, in reality, your dog can utilise. Salmon proteins have a biological value of about 94%, which is very high compared with other animal sources of protein. This ensures an easily digestible product with a high utilisation rate, which results in lower food consumption and fewer excrements.

Salmon alone naturally isn't enough

Which is why our product is composed of the best quality controlled raw materials and correctly balanced with nutritional substances, vitamins, and minerals.

Cholin chloride and lecitine are added to the product, which help increase the dogs ability to digest and absorb fats. As a result, the dog absorbs the energy in the food more easily, which leads to lower food consumption.

Garlic is added to our product as it is a natural product with health enhancing properties. Garlic improves the intestinal flora, strengthens blood circulation, and prevents worm attacks. On some dogs, it even helps reduce flea and tick attacks.

Extruded product

During extrusion the ingredients are heated at high pressure to about 130 degrees Celsius. This kills all bacteria and causes the starch in the grain to react with water, which transforms the starch into easily digestible carbohydrates. The starch in the grains are made available for the dog, which increases absorption and ensures that the food is utilized optimally.

What antioxidants do we use?

Our products only contain naturally occurring antioxidants which are approved by food authorities. These antioxidants include extracts of natural origin containing strong tocopherol (vitamin E), 6-palmityl-L-ascorbic acid (vitamin-C), and propylgallate.

The body generates "free radicals" (cell modifying components), which can cause cancer and weaken the immune system. Natural antioxidants have the special ability of being able to neutralise the "free radicals", thus preventing the negative effect from emerging.
